The spellings change with time, but immigration records show that many times the local people immigrated along with Hajosteks. Many US Federal Census records show common local names living in Slovak groups in America. It is possible that the ancestral village was more important than in present day America. One wonders if something wonderful was not lost, in the name of progress. Note; The birth of Carol Dudsik was shown as necessitas (necessary?). One wonders if Carol was born out of wedlock. Well, certainly the skeletons are walking! Since the birth record is shown on the church books, one must conclude that a clear understanding of the town/family culture of the time is necessary.
