Family Lines

At the begginning of 2006 there were at least ten Hajostek/Hayostek groups
around the world.

Not all of the groups have been connected back to their origins in theTatra
Mountains.

To date, the Vienna Group goes back to Casta, Slovakia.

To date, the group that lives (or lived) in Buffalo, New York, USA has not been
traced back to a specific place in Slovakia (original immigrant ancester, Bela
Hajosztek).

Note; the name Bela is not used for a son in early Slovak church records. It is
possible that one of the Hai(j)ostek families migrated south into what is, today
Hungary. Bela may be a Hungarian name.

Note; in the early 1700's, it appears that the Slovak alphabet did not have the
letter J.
